Walking tours of blooms & photo ops:

  • Washington Fruit Place – Stroll through the beautiful orchards of Barrett Farms, a good place for blossom pictures. Estimated bloom time April 10-18th.
  • Sign up for 2026 Cherry Blossom Run – On April 25, 2026 Taste-A-Treat will host their annual cherry blossom run through their family orchards, 1mile – 10k events available.
  • Yakima Valley Arboretum – Open to the public and great to see Crab Apple, Redbud and Dogwood trees whose blooms are best viewed April to May.
  • Yellow Rose Nursery – local nursery in Prosser features several themed display gardens, an aviary and gift shop.

Wineries with spectacular views of Yakima Valley agriculture:

  • LaPierre Farms & Winery – Call to set up an appointment for a private tour of their farm and winery. Beautiful views, local fruit and sustainable farming practices.

Some orchard locations are in rural areas where GPS directions may be inconsistent. We strongly recommend stopping at Chukar headquarters before your tour to receive printed maps and directions for the best experience.

Can I stop or take pictures in the orchards?

No. These are working farms and are not set up for visitors. For safety and respect of growers, please enjoy the blossoms from your vehicle only along this route.

Looking for photo opportunities?

We recommend visiting Washington Fruit Place, where cherry orchards are open to the public for photography.

When is peak bloom?

Cherry blossoms are a natural phenomenon and bloom timing varies based on weather conditions. We will provide bloom updates every Tuesday throughout the season on our website.
